'QUICK' - Setup and Use, GUIDANCE for STAFF ONLY NB: Keep this sheet safe and hidden from trainees until you personalise the Password !

"How to 'enter words' and create student specific wordlists".
(After WordSpell2 has been setup for use, students can be left to train themselves.)

GENERAL HELP - On-screen Help is provided throughout the program by clicking on the HELP symbol found on every screen. The obvious exception to this is the 'staff login'  help which must be kept safe from 'prying eyes' to prevent unwanted program tampering.

STAFF LOGIN HELP - Note Well :- Staff passwords are CASE SENSITIVE !

To access program control left click on 'LOGIN'. Type "staff" in lower case for your 'Login Name', then click on 'Submit'. When asked for 'Login Code', type your password and click 'Submit' (NB. "SP" is the default password, but can easily be changed to suit - see 'Password Changing' in the Staff User Manual).

WORDLIST SCREEN
(On-screen help is available for this area)

This is where you the tutor have complete control over the whole program. You can select or setup your own choice of words and lists for students to learn or be tested. You can even record your own voice to read them!

The left hand page shows the existing 'current' word list. The right hand page is where you type in replacement 'new words'.

WORDLIST SELECTION
Select previously created and stored wordlists, by clicking on the 'Current List' arrows at the top of  the screen ('8' shown selected).  Click 'Hear List' to listen to the recorded words spoken.

When you 'Exit' this Word List screen, the 'Current list' on display will be the new Work List in use! NB: The words are displayed in the order that they are typed in.

CREATING A NEW WORDLIST - 
Type your new words in the right hand page where the cursor is blinking. Complete words may now be either 'UPPER' or 'lower' case and can also be 'mixed' in the same list. 

REMEMBER you MUST press 'Enter' or 'Return' directly after typing EACH word!

First enter a TITLE (Start all words at the Very Beginning of Each Line. Do NOT leave any Blank Spaces, before, in, or at the end of your word.) Press 'Return' the 'Blinking Cursor' will go to the start of the next line. Place an entry on every line (10 words plus a title).

When satisfied with your new Wordlist, click on the 'Replace Current' button, this will save it into the 'Current List' menu page being displayed!

WARNING - DO NOT click on 'Replace Current' If you want to keep (and use) the existing 'Current List' displayed on the left. As this list will be erased and replaced with whatever is being displayed on the right hand page!

To use your voice to hear the words spoken, click on the left hand side 'Rec' buttons beside each word and speak into the microphone.

When 'WordFlash' is switched 'ON' each word from the list is only shown for a short period of time. (Not for beginners)

RESET 'HIGHSCORE' and 'HIGHSCORE NAME'.

USE THIS 'RESET' BUTTON WITH EXTREME CAUTION !
When clicked it automatically resets BOTH the 'Highscore' to 'ZERO' and the 'Highscore Name' to 'NOBODY !' and also clears any new words that are being entered into your 'New Words' List .

Results ‘Viewing’, ‘Printing’ and ‘Saving’, are accessible through the central ‘Results’ button.

CHANGING THE PASSWORD -
This is also available from the 'Results' button and has on-screen advice and help.
